Suggested depths:
New Flowerbeds and Vegetable Gardens:
mix equal parts of compost with existing soil to a depth of 4 to 8 inches.

Soil Amendment for existing beds:
3-6 inches of "Grow Up" compost.

Mulch for existing beds or around trees and shrubs (instead of bark):
2-3 inches of "Grow Up" compost.
